An adorable crochet amigurumi duckling that is easy to make and ready to waddle into fall.

Materials

Yarn: Lion Brand Basic Stitch Anti Pill Skein Tones (weight 4 – medium)
Color A – Ivory (3.5 oz/100 g, 185 yd/170 m) – 1 skein
Color B – Ebony (3.5 oz/100 g, 185 yd/170 m) – 1 skein

Feels Like Butta (weight 4 – medium)
Color C – Teal (3.5 oz/100 g, 218 yd/199 m) – 1 skein

Hook: F/5 – 3.75mm

Sizing 

Gauge: 16 stitches x 20 rows = 4″ in sc

Round 2: *sc, sc 2, repeat from * around (12)

Round 3: *sc, sc 2, repeat from * around (18)

Round 4: sc around (18)

Round 5: *sc 2, [sc 2] in the next st, repeat from * around (24)

Round 6: sc around (24)

Round 7: *sc 3, [sc 2] in the next st, repeat from * around (30)

Round 8-11: sc around (30)

Round 12: *sc 3, sc2tog, repeat from * around (24)

Sew on to the body between rounds 19 and 20

Foot (make 2)

Round 4: sc 3, sc2tog three times, sc 3 (9)

Finish off and leave long tail for sewing

Sew the sides of the leg together so the seam travels from the “toes” to the heel

Sew to the bottom of the body between rounds 2 and 3

Flatten feet to resemble duck feet

Bill

In color B, make a magic circle

Round 1: ch 1, sc 6 into the magic circle (6)

Round 2: sc 1, [sc 2], sc 2, [sc 2], sc 1 (8)

Round 3: sc 1, [sc 2], [sc 2], sc 2, [sc 2], [sc 2], sc 1 (12)

Finish off and leave a long tail for sewing

Fold sides together and sew the open end together

Sew to the head between the eyes in a slightly arched position

Once you have anchored the sewing for the bill, work the yarn tail through the topmost part of the head for top “feathers”

Scarf

In color C, ch 6

Row 1: sc in the first ch from the hook and in each ch across (5)

Row 2-36: ch 1, turn, sc blo across (5)

Finish off and leave tail for sewing together around the neck

Sew together around the neck

Add fringe to free end
