The Crochet Velkommen Entryway Mat is an easy and quick to make free pattern. Kick off your shoes and hop into some comfy slippers!
Design Inspiration
I’ve been itching to try out recycled t-shirt yarn after seeing it used in so many projects. This melded with the fact that we desperately needed an entryway mat to put our shoes on to minimize the spread of dirt around the house. Trying to convert us to a no shoes household, so I wanted somewhere guests could also leave their shoes and grab a pair of slippers. After reading a few descriptions, I chose Hoooked because its details seemed the best option for a rug-style project and it was also machine washable.
Yarn Review
Pros: Good texture and project thickness
Cons: Strand width inconsistencies, large knots throughout the skein
Overall: Not a bad yarn, but be wary about what you intend to use it for.
