Crochet Aialik Toddler Blanket

The Crochet Aialik Toddler Blanket is a beautiful easy free pattern using half double crochet to create a faux knit look.

Design Inspiration

Before my daughter was born I purchased this Bernat yarn to match her nursery theme. I wasn’t sure at the time what I wanted to make, so it has been waiting to become this beautiful crochet toddler blanket. I love the look of knit blankets, especially for kiddos, but have yet to learn knitting. That combination is what inspired this crocheted faux-knit design. The color pattern was inspired by the Aialik glacier – a gorgeous natural formation in Alaska.
